MadTracker 2 is Not Installed

When trying to open your MTX file, you get the error "Can't Open MTX File Type". If so, it typically means that you don't have MadTracker 2 installed for %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.

Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your MTX, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").

Wrong Version of MadTracker 2 is Installed

Your MadTracker 2 Extension file is incompatible with MadTracker 2 because you might have the wrong version installed. Installing the latest version of MadTracker 2 from Yannick Delwiche is recommended. Your MadTracker 2 Extension file was probably created by a newer release of MadTracker 2 than what's currently installed your computer.
