Tip: If you don't have Microsoft Mail installed, and you know of another program to open your OEACCOUNT file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Incorrect Microsoft Mail Version
It is possible that your version of Microsoft Mail isn't able to open your Windows Mail Account File file due to incompatibility. Installing the latest version of Microsoft Mail from Microsoft Corporation is recommended. Your Windows Mail Account File file was probably created by a newer release of Microsoft Mail than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of OEACCOUNT file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
Regardless, most of the OEACCOUNT file opening problems relate to not having the right version of Microsoft Mail installed.
