Understanding SBB Issues
Common SBB Opening Problems
Missing Microsoft Office Accounting
You attempt to load your SBB file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The SBB File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Microsoft Office Accounting isn't installed on your PC. You won't be able to double-click to open your SBB because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your SBB file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Microsoft Office Accounting Requires Update
Your Office Accounting Company Backup File file is incompatible with Microsoft Office Accounting because you might have the wrong version installed. If you do not have the proper version Microsoft Office Accounting (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. The primary cause of this problem is that your Office Accounting Company Backup File file was created by a different (newer) version of Microsoft Office Accounting than what's installed.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the SBB file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Conclusion: The majority of SBB file opening issues are due to not having the correct Microsoft Office Accounting version installed.
