Snipping Tool is Not Installed
When trying to open your SNIP file, you get the error "Can't Open SNIP File Type". Customarily, this means that Snipping Tool is not installed on %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your SNIP with Snipping Tool, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: If you have another software that you know opens SNIP files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.
Obsolete Version of Snipping Tool
In other instances, your Microsoft Windows Snipping Tool Data File file version may not be supported by your version of Snipping Tool. If you do not have the proper version Snipping Tool (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
