Understanding DLB Issues
Common Problems Opening DLB Files
Kaspersky Anti-Virus Disappeared
When you double-click your DLB file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". If so, it typically means that you don't have Kaspersky Anti-Virus installed for %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your DLB with Kaspersky Anti-Virus, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: Another DLB-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Outdated Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Sometimes your installed version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus won't support your Troj/Dloadr-AHT Data file. If you've got the wrong version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus installed, you'll need to install the correct version. This problem is predominately due to having a Troj/Dloadr-AHT Data file version that was created by a newer version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your DLB file and clicking "Properties".
Primarily, problems experienced when opening DLB files are due to having the incorrect version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus installed on your computer.
More Causes of Problems Opening DLBs
Assuming you have the right Kaspersky Anti-Virus version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening DLB files. If you are still having problems opening DLB files, there may be other issues that are preventing you from opening these files. These other problems include (listed in order from most to least common):
- Windows Registry DLB file paths that are incorrect
- Deletion of the DLB file description from the Registry by mistake
- Incomplete or bad installation of a software application associated with the DLB format
- Your DLB file is corrupted (issues with your Troj/Dloadr-AHT Data file itself)
- Your DLB is infected with malware
- DLB-related hardware has device drivers that obsolete
- Too many applications are open on your PC to load your Troj/Dloadr-AHT Data file successfully
