Troubleshoot 16 Files
Issues Opening 16 Files
Salt Lake 2002 Removed
You attempt to load your 16 file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The 16 File Extension". When this happens, it is commonly due to Salt Lake 2002 missing in %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your 16 file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Obsolete Version of Salt Lake 2002
Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Salt Lake 2002 installed that's incompatible with your Salt Lake Winter Olympics 2002 Game Music File type. If you do not have the proper version Salt Lake 2002 (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. Your Salt Lake Winter Olympics 2002 Game Music File file was probably created by a newer release of Salt Lake 2002 than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of 16 file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
Regardless, most of the 16 file opening problems relate to not having the right version of Salt Lake 2002 installed.
Other 16 File Issues
Even with the correct version of Salt Lake 2002 installed, you can still experience difficulties opening 16s. If you are still having problems opening 16 files, there may be other issues that are preventing you from opening these files. Problems unrelated to software:
- Corrupt Windows Registry file path references for 16
- Mistaken removal of the Windows registry 16 description
- Defective install of a 16 program, such as Salt Lake 2002
- Your 16 file is corrupted (issues with your Salt Lake Winter Olympics 2002 Game Music File file itself)
- The 16 is infected with a virus
- Device drivers for 16-related hardware are out-of-date
- Too many applications are open on your PC to load your Salt Lake Winter Olympics 2002 Game Music File file successfully
