Understanding 669 Issues
Troubles Opening 669 Files
Nullsoft Winamp is Not Installed
Double-clicking your 669 file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open 669 File". Customarily, this means that Nullsoft Winamp is not installed on %%os%%. The typical path of opening your 669 with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your 669, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Incorrect Nullsoft Winamp Version
It is possible that your version of Nullsoft Winamp isn't able to open your UNIS Composer 669 Module file due to incompatibility. Download the latest Nullsoft Winamp version from the Nullsoft website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the 669 file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening 669 files are due to having the incorrect version of Nullsoft Winamp installed on your computer.
Other Causes of 669 File Opening Problems
Assuming you have the right Nullsoft Winamp version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening 669 files. There can be other issues - unrelated to software - preventing you from opening 669 files. These other problems include (listed in order from most to least common):
- Invalid 669 file references in the Windows Registry (the "phonebook" of the Windows Operating System)
- The 669 file description within the Windows Registry was removed
- Corrupt install of Nullsoft Winamp or other 669-related program
- File corruption affecting your 669 file
- Your 669 is infected with malware
- Drivers associated with 669 software need to be updated
- Your computer does not have the adequate system resources to open the UNIS Composer 669 Module format
