BRSTM File Complications
Troubles Opening BRSTM Files
Missing BrawlBox
You attempt to load your BRSTM file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The BRSTM File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because BrawlBox isn't installed on your PC. The typical path of opening your BRSTM with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your BRSTM, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Obsolete Version of BrawlBox
It is possible that your version of BrawlBox isn't able to open your Binary Revolution Stream Audio File file due to incompatibility. If you've got the wrong version of BrawlBox installed, you'll need to install the correct version. Most of the time your Binary Revolution Stream Audio File file was created by a newer BrawlBox than what you have installed.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your BRSTM file and clicking "Properties".
Conclusion: The majority of BRSTM file opening issues are due to not having the correct BrawlBox version installed.
Other BRSTM File Issues
Assuming you have the right BrawlBox version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening BRSTM files. There can be external issues inside of %%os%% that are causing these errors when opening BRSTMs. Issues that aren't software-related:
- Corrupt Windows Registry file path references for BRSTM
- Deletion of the BRSTM file description from the Registry by mistake
- Partial installation of BrawlBox that did not fully complete
- Your BRSTM file is corrupted (issues with your Binary Revolution Stream Audio File file itself)
- The BRSTM is infected with a virus
- Drivers associated with BRSTM software need to be updated
- Insufficient system resources to successfully open Binary Revolution Stream Audio File files
