StepMania Isn't There

You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open CRS Files" when trying to open your CRS. Customarily, this means that StepMania is not installed on %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your CRS with StepMania, so double-clicking the file won't work.

Tip: If you have another software that you know opens CRS files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.

Outdated StepMania

Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of StepMania installed that's incompatible with your StepMania Course File type. Download the latest StepMania version from the Open Source website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This issue mainly occurs when your StepMania Course File file was created by a newer version of StepMania than you have on your PC.
