Issues Opening DFS Files

BrainSuite is Not Installed

Double-clicking your DFS file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open DFS File". Usually, this is because you do not have BrainSuite for %%os%% installed. The typical path of opening your DFS with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.

Tip: When another DFS application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.

Outdated BrainSuite

Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of BrainSuite installed that's incompatible with your BrainSuite Surface File type. Visit the Open Source website to download (or purchase) the latest version of BrainSuite. This issue mainly occurs when your BrainSuite Surface File file was created by a newer version of BrainSuite than you have on your PC.
