Common Problems Opening FB2 Files

Calibre Removed

When trying to open your FB2 file, you get the error "Can't Open FB2 File Type". If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have Calibre for %%os%% installed on your computer. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the FB2 file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.

Tip: If you have another software that you know opens FB2 files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.

Calibre Requires Update

Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Calibre installed that's incompatible with your FictionBook 2.0 File type. You will need to download a newer version of Calibre if you don't have the right version. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
