G4B File Complications
Frequent G4B Opening Issues
Sokoban Isn't There
When you double-click your G4B file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". When this happens, it is commonly due to Sokoban missing in %%os%%. The typical path of opening your G4B with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your G4B file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Sokoban is Out-of-Date
Sometimes your installed version of Sokoban won't support your Sokoban++ Level File file. Visit the Open Source website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Sokoban. This problem is predominately due to having a Sokoban++ Level File file version that was created by a newer version of Sokoban than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: If you right-click on your G4B file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Ultimately, most of the difficulties opening G4B files are due to having the wrong version of Sokoban installed.
