Troubleshoot GDI Files
Typical GDI Opening Challenges
nullDC is Not Installed
Double-clicking your GDI file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open GDI File". Customarily, this means that nullDC is not installed on %%os%%. You won't be able to double-click to open your GDI because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: If you don't have nullDC installed, and you know of another program to open your GDI file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Incorrect nullDC Version
It is possible that your version of nullDC isn't able to open your Dreamcast Gigabyte Disc Image file due to incompatibility. If you do not have the proper version nullDC (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a Dreamcast Gigabyte Disc Image file version that was created by a newer version of nullDC than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the GDI file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Conclusion: The majority of GDI file opening issues are due to not having the correct nullDC version installed.
