Troubleshoot ITI Files
Common ITI Opening Problems
Missing CocoModX
Double-clicking your ITI file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open ITI File". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because CocoModX isn't installed on your PC. The OS won't know what to do with your ITI file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: If you have another software that you know opens ITI files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.
CocoModX Requires Update
Your Impulse Tracker Instrument file is incompatible with CocoModX because you might have the wrong version installed. You will need to download a newer version of CocoModX if you don't have the right version. The primary cause of this problem is that your Impulse Tracker Instrument file was created by a different (newer) version of CocoModX than what's installed.
Tip: Investigate your ITI file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Summary: Not having the right CocoModX version on your computer can cause problems opening ITI files.
Other Causes of ITI File Opening Problems
Assuming you have the right CocoModX version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening ITI files. There can be other issues - unrelated to software - preventing you from opening ITI files. These other problems include (listed in order from most to least common):
