Understanding LPT Issues
Issues Opening LPT Files
LogPlot Isn't There
You attempt to load your LPT file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The LPT File Extension". Customarily, this means that LogPlot is not installed on %%os%%. The typical path of opening your LPT with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: When another LPT application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
LogPlot Requires Update
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a LogPlot Compiled Boring Log File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. If you've got the wrong version of LogPlot installed, you'll need to install the correct version. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the LPT file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Conclusion: The majority of LPT file opening issues are due to not having the correct LogPlot version installed.
