NV File Complications

Issues Opening NV Files

Q.W. Page NewViews 2 Not Present

When you double-click your NV file, you may see a dialog box from your operating system stating that it "Cannot Open This File Type". If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have Q.W. Page NewViews 2 for %%os%% installed on your computer. The OS won't know what to do with your NV file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.

Tip: If you have another software that you know opens NV files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.

Q.W. Page NewViews 2 Requires Update

It is possible that your version of Q.W. Page NewViews 2 isn't able to open your NewViews Database File file due to incompatibility. Visit the Q.W.Page Associates Inc website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Q.W. Page NewViews 2. Most of the time your NewViews Database File file was created by a newer Q.W. Page NewViews 2 than what you have installed.

Tip: If you right-click on your NV file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.

Conclusion: The majority of NV file opening issues are due to not having the correct Q.W. Page NewViews 2 version installed.

Additional NV Opening Issues

Errors opening NewViews Database File files can still occur even with the latest Q.W. Page NewViews 2 software installed on your computer. If you are continuing to have errors with loading NV files, other external issues might be to blame. Problems unrelated to software:

  • Windows Registry NV file paths that are incorrect
  • Corruption of the NV file description inside the Registry
  • Corrupt install of Q.W. Page NewViews 2 or other NV-related program
  • Your NV file is corrupted (issues with your NewViews Database File file itself)
  • The NV is infected with a virus
  • Hardware associated with NV has outdated drivers
  • Too many applications are open on your PC to load your NewViews Database File file successfully
