PPO File Complications
Common Problems Opening PPO Files
CA-Clipper Removed
Double-clicking your PPO file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open PPO File". When this happens, it is commonly due to CA-Clipper missing in %%os%%. The typical path of opening your PPO with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: If you don't have CA-Clipper installed, and you know of another program to open your PPO file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Obsolete Version of CA-Clipper
Your CA Clipper Preprocessor Output file is incompatible with CA-Clipper because you might have the wrong version installed. Visit the CA Technologies website to download (or purchase) the latest version of CA-Clipper. This issue mainly occurs when your CA Clipper Preprocessor Output file was created by a newer version of CA-Clipper than you have on your PC.
Tip: Right-clicking on your PPO, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Summary: Not having the right CA-Clipper version on your computer can cause problems opening PPO files.

Errors opening CA Clipper Preprocessor Output files can still occur even with the latest CA-Clipper software installed on your computer. If you're still experiencing problems opening PPO files, there could be other computer problems. Problems unrelated to software:
