Understanding RPTR Issues
Common RPTR Opening Problems
RafflePrinter Disappeared
You attempt to load your RPTR file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The RPTR File Extension". When this happens, it is commonly due to RafflePrinter missing in %%os%%. You won't be able to double-click to open your RPTR because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your RPTR, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Incorrect RafflePrinter Version
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a RafflePrinter Document file that is unsupported by your installed application version. If you do not have the proper version RafflePrinter (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a RafflePrinter Document file version that was created by a newer version of RafflePrinter than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Right-clicking on your RPTR, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Ultimately, most of the difficulties opening RPTR files are due to having the wrong version of RafflePrinter installed.
Other RPTR File Opening Causes
Assuming you have the right RafflePrinter version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening RPTR files. There can be other issues - unrelated to software - preventing you from opening RPTR files. Issues that aren't software-related:
- File references in the Windows Registry for RPTR are wrong
- Mistaken removal of the Windows registry RPTR description
- Invalid installation of a RPTR-associated program (eg. RafflePrinter)
- Your RPTR file is corrupted (issues with your RafflePrinter Document file itself)
- The RPTR is infected with a virus
- Hardware related to RPTRs has device driver corruption
- Your PC doesn’t have enough available resources to open the RafflePrinter Document file
