Common SFP Opening Problems
TROY Printer Utility Disappeared
If you attempt to load your SFP file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open SFP Files". If so, it typically means that you don't have TROY Printer Utility installed for %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: If you don't have TROY Printer Utility installed, and you know of another program to open your SFP file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
Obsolete Version of TROY Printer Utility
In other instances, your Soft Font Printer File file version may not be supported by your version of TROY Printer Utility. If you've got the wrong version of TROY Printer Utility installed, you'll need to install the correct version. This problem is predominately due to having a Soft Font Printer File file version that was created by a newer version of TROY Printer Utility than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your SFP file and clicking "Properties".
Regardless, most of the SFP file opening problems relate to not having the right version of TROY Printer Utility installed.
