Sources of TODO Problems
Troubles Opening TODO Files
Simple Project ToDo Isn't There
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open TODO Files" when trying to open your TODO. Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Simple Project ToDo isn't installed on your PC. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your TODO, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Incorrect Simple Project ToDo Version
In other instances, your Simple Project ToDo Database file version may not be supported by your version of Simple Project ToDo. If you do not have the proper version Simple Project ToDo (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This issue mainly occurs when your Simple Project ToDo Database file was created by a newer version of Simple Project ToDo than you have on your PC.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your TODO file and clicking "Properties".
Summary: In either case, the majority of problems opening TODO files are related to not having the correct software application installed on your computer.
Other TODO File Issues
You can still experience errors opening TODO files even with the latest version of Simple Project ToDo installed on your PC. If you are continuing to have errors with loading TODO files, other external issues might be to blame. Problems unrelated to software:

- Your TODO file is corrupted (issues with your Simple Project ToDo Database file itself)
- The TODO is infected with a virus
- TODO-related hardware has device drivers that obsolete
