Troubles Opening VFW Files
Microsoft Windows Media Player Removed
If you attempt to load your VFW file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open VFW Files". Usually, this is because you do not have Microsoft Windows Media Player for %%os%% installed. Your operating system cannot associate your VFW with Microsoft Windows Media Player, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: If you have another software that you know opens VFW files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.
Microsoft Windows Media Player Requires Update
It is possible that your version of Microsoft Windows Media Player isn't able to open your Video For Windows file due to incompatibility. If you do not have the proper version Microsoft Windows Media Player (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. Most of the time your Video For Windows file was created by a newer Microsoft Windows Media Player than what you have installed.
