Understanding WA2 Issues
Common WA2 Opening Problems
Wonderland Adventures Isn't There
You attempt to load your WA2 file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The WA2 File Extension". When this happens, it is commonly due to Wonderland Adventures missing in %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your WA2 with Wonderland Adventures, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: If you have another software that you know opens WA2 files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.
Obsolete Version of Wonderland Adventures
Sometimes your installed version of Wonderland Adventures won't support your Wonderland Adventures Custom Adventure File file. Download the latest Wonderland Adventures version from the Midnight Synergy website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This issue mainly occurs when your Wonderland Adventures Custom Adventure File file was created by a newer version of Wonderland Adventures than you have on your PC.
Tip: If you right-click on your WA2 file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Summary: In either case, the majority of problems opening WA2 files are related to not having the correct software application installed on your computer.
