Troubleshoot WB Files
Common WB Opening Problems
FIFA 2000 Removed
Double-clicking your WB file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open WB File". If so, it typically means that you don't have FIFA 2000 installed for %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: When another WB application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Obsolete Version of FIFA 2000
Your FIFA 2000 Game Data file is incompatible with FIFA 2000 because you might have the wrong version installed. If you do not have the proper version FIFA 2000 (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. Most of the time your FIFA 2000 Game Data file was created by a newer FIFA 2000 than what you have installed.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your WB file and clicking "Properties".
Ultimately, most of the difficulties opening WB files are due to having the wrong version of FIFA 2000 installed.
Additional WB Opening Issues
Although you might already have FIFA 2000 or another WB-associated software installed on your computer, you can still encounter problems opening FIFA 2000 Game Data files. If you are continuing to have errors with loading WB files, other external issues might be to blame. These other problems include (listed in order from most to least common):
- Windows Registry WB file paths that are incorrect
- Accidental deletion of the description of the WB file in the Windows registry
- Defective install of a WB program, such as FIFA 2000
- The WB itself is corrupted
- Your WB is infected with malware
- Hardware related to WBs has device driver corruption
- Insufficient system resources to successfully open FIFA 2000 Game Data files
