Sources of WVC Problems
Common Problems Opening WVC Files
WavPack is Not Installed
When trying to open your WVC file, you get the error "Can't Open WVC File Type". When this happens, it is commonly due to WavPack missing in %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: If you don't have WavPack installed, and you know of another program to open your WVC file, you can try opening it by selecting from the programs listed under "Show Apps".
WavPack Requires Update
Your WavPack Correction File file is incompatible with WavPack because you might have the wrong version installed. Installing the latest version of WavPack from Open Source is recommended. Your WavPack Correction File file was probably created by a newer release of WavPack than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Investigate your WVC file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Summary: In either case, the majority of problems opening WVC files are related to not having the correct software application installed on your computer.
Other WVC File Opening Causes
