Troubleshooting Problems Opening YGD Files
Common YGD Opening Problems
YouGooDai Disappeared
Double-clicking your YGD file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open YGD File". If so, it typically means that you don't have YouGooDai installed for %%os%%. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the YGD file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your YGD, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Incorrect YouGooDai Version
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a YouGooDai Playlist File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. If you do not have the proper version YouGooDai (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a YouGooDai Playlist File file version that was created by a newer version of YouGooDai than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Right-clicking on your YGD, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Regardless, most of the YGD file opening problems relate to not having the right version of YouGooDai installed.
Other YGD File Opening Causes
Although you might already have YouGooDai or another YGD-associated software installed on your computer, you can still encounter problems opening YouGooDai Playlist File files. There can be other issues - unrelated to software - preventing you from opening YGD files. Additional factors include:
- YGD file type Registry entries are wrong

- Partial installation of YouGooDai that did not fully complete
- Something has caused file corruption of your YGD
- Your YGD is infected with malware
- Hardware related to YGDs has device driver corruption
- Windows has inadequate resources to open your YouGooDai Playlist File file
