Issues Opening ZXP Files

Adobe Extension Manager CC Removed

Double-clicking your ZXP file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open ZXP File". When this happens, it is commonly due to Adobe Extension Manager CC missing in %%os%%. The OS won't know what to do with your ZXP file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.

Tip: If you have another software that you know opens ZXP files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.

Adobe Extension Manager CC Requires Update

Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Adobe Extension Manager CC installed that's incompatible with your Extension Manager Package type. Download the latest Adobe Extension Manager CC version from the Adobe Systems Incorporated website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.

Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your ZXP file and clicking "Properties".
