Frequent MSV Opening Issues

Missing Microsoft Windows Media Player

Double-clicking your MSV file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open MSV File". Usually, this is because you do not have Microsoft Windows Media Player for %%os%% installed. You won't be able to double-click to open your MSV because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.

Tip: Another MSV-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.

Outdated Microsoft Windows Media Player

In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Memory Stick Voice File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. Download the latest Microsoft Windows Media Player version from the Microsoft Corporation website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This problem is predominately due to having a Memory Stick Voice File file version that was created by a newer version of Microsoft Windows Media Player than what you have installed on your PC.
