Understanding P3T Issues
Frequent P3T Opening Issues
P3T Unpacker is Not Installed
You attempt to load your P3T file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The P3T File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because P3T Unpacker isn't installed on your PC. The typical path of opening your P3T with a double-click won't work because %%os%% cannot make the program connection.
Tip: If you have another software that you know opens P3T files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.
Incorrect P3T Unpacker Version
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a PlayStation 3 Theme File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. Installing the latest version of P3T Unpacker from Open Source is recommended. Your PlayStation 3 Theme File file was probably created by a newer release of P3T Unpacker than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the P3T file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Summary: Not having the right P3T Unpacker version on your computer can cause problems opening P3T files.
More Causes of Problems Opening P3Ts
Even with the correct version of P3T Unpacker installed, you can still experience difficulties opening P3Ts. If you're still experiencing problems opening P3T files, there could be other computer problems. Issues that aren't software-related:

- Unintentional removal of the description of the P3T file inside the Windows Registry
- Invalid installation of a P3T-associated program (eg. P3T Unpacker)
- P3T file corruption
- P3T file integrity has been compromised by malware
- Hardware related to P3Ts has device driver corruption
