Understanding CDMIQ Issues
Troubles Opening CDMIQ Files
Unknown Software Isn't There
If you attempt to load your CDMIQ file, you experience a message such as "Can't Open CDMIQ Files". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Unknown Software isn't installed on your PC. You won't be able to double-click to open your CDMIQ because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: When another CDMIQ application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Wrong Version of Unknown Software is Installed
In other instances, your Unknown File Type file version may not be supported by your version of Unknown Software. Visit the Unknown Developer website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Unknown Software. This issue mainly occurs when your Unknown File Type file was created by a newer version of Unknown Software than you have on your PC.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the CDMIQ file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Summary: Not having the right Unknown Software version on your computer can cause problems opening CDMIQ files.
More Causes of Problems Opening CDMIQs
Although you might already have Unknown Software or another CDMIQ-associated software installed on your computer, you can still encounter problems opening Unknown File Type files. There can be external issues inside of %%os%% that are causing these errors when opening CDMIQs. Issues that aren't software-related:
- File references in the Windows Registry for CDMIQ are wrong
- Accidental deletion of the description of the CDMIQ file in the Windows registry
- Invalid installation of a CDMIQ-associated program (eg. Unknown Software)
- Something has caused file corruption of your CDMIQ
- The CDMIQ is infected with a virus
- Device drivers of the hardware associated with your CDMIQ file are corrupt or out-of-date
- Too many applications are open on your PC to load your Unknown File Type file successfully
