Software Overview

The Archive Utility is the default archive file handler for Mac OS since Mac OS X 10.5. Before, it was called the BOM Archive Helper. It usually works automatically when you open a file in one of its supported formats. It allows you to save the expanded files wherever you want them and what to do after you create one.
