RSS Troubleshooting


Common Problems Opening RSS Files

Missing Mozilla Firefox

You encounter an error message such as "- Can't Open RSS Files" when trying to open your RSS. If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have Mozilla Firefox for - installed on your computer. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.


Tip: Another RSS-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.


Mozilla Firefox Requires Update

Sometimes your installed version of Mozilla Firefox won't support your Rich Site Summary file. If you do not have the proper version Mozilla Firefox (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This problem is predominately due to having a Rich Site Summary file version that was created by a newer version of Mozilla Firefox than what you have installed on your PC.
