TEI Troubleshooting
Troubles Opening TEI Files
TrackEye Not Present
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open TEI Files" when trying to open your TEI. If so, it typically means that you don't have TrackEye installed for %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your TEI with TrackEye, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your TEI, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
TrackEye is Out-of-Date
In other instances, your TrackEye Image Sequence File file version may not be supported by your version of TrackEye. If you do not have the proper version TrackEye (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. Your TrackEye Image Sequence File file was probably created by a newer release of TrackEye than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your TEI file and clicking "Properties".
Summary: Not having the right TrackEye version on your computer can cause problems opening TEI files.
