Troubleshooting Problems Opening AZF Files
Common Problems Opening AZF Files
AirZip FileSECURE Reader is Not Installed
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open AZF Files" when trying to open your AZF. If so, it typically means that you don't have AirZip FileSECURE Reader installed for %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your AZF with AirZip FileSECURE Reader, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your AZF, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
AirZip FileSECURE Reader is Out-of-Date
It is possible that your version of AirZip FileSECURE Reader isn't able to open your AirZip FileSECURE File file due to incompatibility. Download the latest AirZip FileSECURE Reader version from the AirZip, Inc. website to ensure you have the correct one installed. This issue mainly occurs when your AirZip FileSECURE File file was created by a newer version of AirZip FileSECURE Reader than you have on your PC.
Tip: You can sometimes get hints about the right program version by right-clicking on the AZF file, selecting "Properties", and looking at the version information.
Summary: In either case, the majority of problems opening AZF files are related to not having the correct software application installed on your computer.
