Frequent IC3 Opening Issues
Lemkesoft GraphicConverter Not Present
Double-clicking your IC3 file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open IC3 File". Usually, this is because you do not have Lemkesoft GraphicConverter for %%os%% installed. You won't be able to double-click to open your IC3 because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your IC3, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Incorrect Lemkesoft GraphicConverter Version
Your High Resolution Imagic Graphics File file is incompatible with Lemkesoft GraphicConverter because you might have the wrong version installed. If you do not have the proper version Lemkesoft GraphicConverter (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. This issue mainly occurs when your High Resolution Imagic Graphics File file was created by a newer version of Lemkesoft GraphicConverter than you have on your PC.
Tip: Investigate your IC3 file by right-clicking and selecting "Properties" to find clues on what version you need.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening IC3 files are due to having the incorrect version of Lemkesoft GraphicConverter installed on your computer.
Other IC3 File Opening Causes
You can still experience errors opening IC3 files even with the latest version of Lemkesoft GraphicConverter installed on your PC. There can be other issues - unrelated to software - preventing you from opening IC3 files. These other problems include (listed in order from most to least common):
- Windows Registry IC3 file paths that are incorrect
- Deletion of the IC3 file description from the Registry by mistake
- Incomplete or bad installation of a software application associated with the IC3 format
- The IC3 itself is corrupted
- Past or present virus infection has affected your IC3
- Device drivers of the hardware associated with your IC3 file are corrupt or out-of-date
- Your computer does not have the adequate system resources to open the High Resolution Imagic Graphics File format
