Understanding CSP Issues
Issues Opening CSP Files
Mozilla Firefox is Not Installed
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open CSP Files" when trying to open your CSP. If this is the case, it's usually due to the fact that you do not have Mozilla Firefox for %%os%% installed on your computer. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the CSP file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: Another CSP-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Incorrect Mozilla Firefox Version
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Concept Server Page file that is unsupported by your installed application version. If you've got the wrong version of Mozilla Firefox installed, you'll need to install the correct version. This issue mainly occurs when your Concept Server Page file was created by a newer version of Mozilla Firefox than you have on your PC.
Tip: Right-clicking on your CSP, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Primarily, problems experienced when opening CSP files are due to having the incorrect version of Mozilla Firefox installed on your computer.
Other CSP File Issues
Assuming you have the right Mozilla Firefox version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening CSP files. If you are still having problems opening CSP files, there may be other issues that are preventing you from opening these files. These issues include:
- Corrupt Windows Registry file path references for CSP
- Mistaken removal of the Windows registry CSP description
- Invalid installation of a CSP-associated program (eg. Mozilla Firefox)
- Your CSP file is corrupted (issues with your Concept Server Page file itself)
- Malware-tainted CSP file can't be opened
- Device drivers of the hardware associated with your CSP file are corrupt or out-of-date
- Insufficient system resources to successfully open Concept Server Page files
