Missing Comic Collector
You attempt to load your CMC file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The CMC File Extension". Usually, this is because you do not have Comic Collector for %%os%% installed. This will prevent you from double-clicking to open the CMC file because the OS doesn’t know how to handle it.
Tip: If you know of another program that can open your CMC file, you can try opening it by selecting the application from the programs listed.
Comic Collector Requires Update
Your Comic Collector Collection Data File file is incompatible with Comic Collector because you might have the wrong version installed. You will need to download a newer version of Comic Collector if you don't have the right version. This problem is predominately due to having a Comic Collector Collection Data File file version that was created by a newer version of Comic Collector than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Right-clicking on your CMC, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.
Regardless, most of the CMC file opening problems relate to not having the right version of Comic Collector installed.
Other Causes of CMC File Opening Problems
Errors opening Comic Collector Collection Data File files can still occur even with the latest Comic Collector software installed on your computer. If you are still having problems opening CMC files, there may be other issues that are preventing you from opening these files. Other contributing causes:
