Issues Opening CAR Files
Car Explorer is Not Installed
You attempt to load your CAR file and get an error such as "- Can't Open The CAR File Extension". Usually, this is because you do not have Car Explorer for - installed. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: When another CAR application is installed, you can choose to open it by selecting "Show Apps" and using that program.
Wrong Version of Car Explorer is Installed
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Car Explorer Data File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. If you've got the wrong version of Car Explorer installed, you'll need to install the correct version. Your Car Explorer Data File file was probably created by a newer release of Car Explorer than what's currently installed your computer.
