Description of the drug
Boldenone undesilenate (Equipoise) is an anabolic and androgenic steroid developed for veterinary use. It is manufactured to produce long-acting methandrostenolone and is well established in the sports pharmacology market. Chemically, the boldenone molecule is a Danabol molecule that does not contain the 17-alpha methyl group. Due to the change in the shape of the double bond between the first and second carbon atom, the steroid is as potent as testosterone (its anabolic properties), whereas the androgenic activity of Boldenone-E is only half as potent.
Anabolic index – 100, androgenic index – 100, hepatotoxicity – none, conversion rate to estrogens – low, progestagenic activity – very low.
Effects of Equipoise use
Qualitative increase in muscle mass. Effect is gradual (nedesilenate is a very long ester, 1 atom longer than decanoate).
Circulation stimulating action. Balance increases red blood cell production, allowing muscles to receive more oxygen. This property is often used in endurance sports (e.g. athletics).
How should Equipoise be taken?
The Equipoise course takes about 8-10 weeks. The average dose is 400-800 mg. You should examine your body thoroughly and consult your doctor before taking it. This will help you not only to avoid possible side effects but also to correctly determine the duration and dosage of the course. Exceeding 800 milligrams will hardly ever lead to better results and will only increase the risk of side effects.
As for the use of Equipoise in combination with other AAS, Anavar and Winstrol are considered to be the best combinations for a “dry” diet. In this case, the duration of the course is reduced to one and a half months (due to the high suppression of endogenous testosterone levels). Once the use of this drug is discontinued after 2 weeks, SCT is started: testosterone boosters help to restore the hormonal balance.

Most newcomers complain about the high price of steroids. However, such Equipoise reviews by SP Laboratiries cannot be called completely objective, as the drug is far from being the most expensive, especially considering the rarity of injections. The steroid produced by the Moldovan pharmaceutical company is considered one of the best, if not the best, on the market in its price category.
Testimonials from top athletes on the Equipoise programme report good quality of mass (gradual increase in volume), increased strength and relative safety. With a dose of up to 600 milligrams per week, there are virtually no side effects. Overall, the steroid has a good reputation.
History of discovery
History of the discovery of boldenone and pharmacological attempts
As early as 1949, the Swiss pharmaceutical company Ciba patented boldenone as a synthetic anabolic steroid. The company conducted many scientific experiments in the late 1960s and early 1970s in search of boldenone esters, and in the late 1960s and early 1970s finally succeeded in developing a long-acting boldenone nedesilenate ester, which was marketed as a parenabolic (i.e. injectable) preparation and used in medicine for muscle hypertrophy and to protect bones from breakdown in osteoporosis.
In the late 1960s, boldenone disappeared from the pharmaceutical market for good and reappeared on the veterinary market a few years later under the trade name ‘Equipoise’ (mainly for promoting muscle growth in horses) thanks to the US biopharmaceutical company Squibb, which marketed the drug until the end of 1985.
In 1985, the Belgian chemical company Solvay bought Boldenone from Squibb and marketed it under its own name until 1995, when it was bought by another US pharmaceutical company, Wyeth (which later became the veterinary company Fort Dodge Animal Health), which continued to market Equipoise in America and other countries.
There are now many generic versions of boldenone undesilenate on the market (drugs with the same active ingredients as the patented drugs), suggesting that all patents for this drug have now expired.
Due to the heavy and long essential chain, boldenone does not have an immediate (slow) effect on the body, but remains in the bloodstream for approximately 3-4 weeks. Another disadvantage of boldenone is that 1/3 of the drug does not work – it is a “dead weight”.
The obvious disadvantages of boldenone undecylenate have led pharmaceutical laboratories to synthesize boldenone acetate and boldenone propionate, which are characterized by a longer duration of action and rapid onset of action. At the same time, both boldenone acetate and propionate are not without drawbacks, as many athletes have discovered: they are very painful and are not commonly used in bodybuilding, which is not the case in other sports where endurance is important (athletics, skiing, cycling, etc.).
What is the best dose of boldenone?
The optimal dose ranges from 300 to 800 mg per week, and low doses of boldenone (300 mg) should be used in combination with other anabolic steroids to be effective. A dose of approximately 600-800 mg per week is considered a working dose for an athlete.
The long half-life of boldenone (the time taken for half of the drug to be eliminated from the body after the first injection, i.e. the concentration of the ester in the blood is halved) allows injections to be given no more frequently than once a week. However, pharmacologists recommend increasing the dose 1.5-2 times during the first 2 weeks, since the drug is absorbed slowly.
Which steroids can I combine (take) boldenone with?
To increase muscle mass, boldenone can be combined with sustanon or testosterone enanthate injections. Oxymetholone can also be added to this combination.
For more intense weight gain, boldenone can also be combined with methandriol dipropionate, but due to the short half-life of methandriol (2-3 days), it must be injected at the following intervals: 2 ml every other day or 3 ml every third day. In addition, testosterone can be added to boldenone metandriol to accelerate weight gain.
For muscle drying, boldenone is usually used in combination with trenbolone or stanozolol, or some people combine all three drugs together, which is also acceptable. More experienced lifters may use a combination of boldenone and testosterone propionate to improve the quality and definition of muscle definition.
