Miscellaneous / Uncommon File Formats
WHAT IS A MISCELLANOUS FILE?
Miscellaneous (“misc” for short) files are generic files that include all the files that don't fit under any other specific category of file formats. It can include anything from files that have been partially downloaded, renamed, or even installer-related files. Miscellaneous files may also contain system file data or data from applications on your phone.
TIP: Miscellaneous files tend to take up a lot of unnecessary space and are generally not useful to the common user, so removing these files from your computer is a quick and easy way to free up disk space.
HOW ARE MISC FILES USED?
There is no specific use case for miscellaneous files except to save data. Usually, these files are used to store temporary data or data that has no other formally defined category.
