Issues Opening SEN Files
Neyer Software SenTest is Not Installed
Double-clicking your SEN file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open SEN File". If so, it typically means that you don't have Neyer Software SenTest installed for %%os%%. You won't be able to double-click to open your SEN because your OS doesn't know what to do with it.
Tip: If you have another software that you know opens SEN files, you can select it by hitting the "Show Apps" button.
Incorrect Neyer Software SenTest Version
Occasionally, you might have an outdated version of Neyer Software SenTest installed that's incompatible with your SenTest Data File type. Visit the Neyer Software LLC website to download (or purchase) the latest version of Neyer Software SenTest. This problem is predominately due to having a SenTest Data File file version that was created by a newer version of Neyer Software SenTest than what you have installed on your PC.
Tip: Find clues on the correct software version by right-clicking your SEN file and clicking "Properties".
Summary: Not having the right Neyer Software SenTest version on your computer can cause problems opening SEN files.
Other Causes of SEN File Opening Problems
You can still experience errors opening SEN files even with the latest version of Neyer Software SenTest installed on your PC. If you are still having problems opening SEN files, there may be other issues that are preventing you from opening these files. These issues include:
- Invalid SEN file references in the Windows Registry (the "phonebook" of the Windows Operating System)
- Unintentional removal of the description of the SEN file inside the Windows Registry
- Neyer Software SenTest or another SEN application experienced a flawed installation
- Your SEN can't be loaded properly (file corruption)
- SEN file integrity has been compromised by malware
- SEN-related hardware has device drivers that obsolete
- Your computer does not have the adequate system resources to open the SenTest Data File format
