Troubleshooting Problems Opening ATOMSVC Files
Issues Opening ATOMSVC Files
Microsoft Excel is Not Installed
You encounter an error message such as "%%os%% Can't Open ATOMSVC Files" when trying to open your ATOMSVC. When this happens, it is commonly due to Microsoft Excel missing in %%os%%. Your operating system cannot associate your ATOMSVC with Microsoft Excel, so double-clicking the file won't work.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your ATOMSVC, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Microsoft Excel is Out-of-Date
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Atom Service Document file that is unsupported by your installed application version. Installing the latest version of Microsoft Excel from Microsoft Corporation is recommended. This problem is most common when you have an older version of the software application, and your file was created by a newer version that it cannot recognize.
Tip: Sometimes you can get a clue about the version of ATOMSVC file you have by right clicking on the file, then clicking on "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac OSX).
Regardless, most of the ATOMSVC file opening problems relate to not having the right version of Microsoft Excel installed.

Errors opening Atom Service Document files can still occur even with the latest Microsoft Excel software installed on your computer.
