Issues Opening MM Files
Kodak EasyShare Disappeared
Double-clicking your MM file prompts the message "%%os%% Can't Open MM File". When this happens, it is commonly due to Kodak EasyShare missing in %%os%%. Because your operating system doesn't know what to do with this file, you won't be able to open it by double-clicking.
Tip: Another MM-related program can be selected to open the file by clicking "Show Apps" and finding the application.
Kodak EasyShare is Out-of-Date
In some cases, you might have a newer (or older) version of a Kodak EasyShare Thumbnail Cache File file that is unsupported by your installed application version. If you do not have the proper version Kodak EasyShare (or any of the other programs listed above), you may need to try downloading a different version of it, or one of the other software applications listed above. The primary cause of this problem is that your Kodak EasyShare Thumbnail Cache File file was created by a different (newer) version of Kodak EasyShare than what's installed.
Tip: Right-clicking on your MM, then clicking "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), can provide clues about your file version.

Assuming you have the right Kodak EasyShare version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening MM files. If you are still having problems opening MM files, there may be other issues that are preventing you from opening these files. Additional factors include:

- Corruption of the MM file description inside the Registry
- Defective install of a MM program, such as Kodak EasyShare
- Your MM can't be loaded properly (file corruption)
- Your MM is infected with malware
- Hardware related to MMs has device driver corruption
- Insufficient system resources to successfully open Kodak EasyShare Thumbnail Cache File files
