Understanding ABM Issues
Frequent ABM Opening Issues
Redbana Audition Removed
You attempt to load your ABM file and get an error such as "%%os%% Can't Open The ABM File Extension". Generally, this is experienced in %%os%% because Redbana Audition isn't installed on your PC. The OS won't know what to do with your ABM file, so double-clicking to load the file doesn't work.
Tip: When you have another program installed that you know will open your ABM, you can select it from the other programs listed (see "Show Apps").
Wrong Version of Redbana Audition is Installed
It is possible that your version of Redbana Audition isn't able to open your Music Album file due to incompatibility. You will need to download a newer version of Redbana Audition if you don't have the right version. Your Music Album file was probably created by a newer release of Redbana Audition than what's currently installed your computer.
Tip: If you right-click on your ABM file, then select "Properties" (Windows) or "Get Info" (Mac), you can obtain hints about what version you need.
Summary: Not having the right Redbana Audition version on your computer can cause problems opening ABM files.
Associated Difficulties Loading ABM Files
Assuming you have the right Redbana Audition version installed, other problems can prevent you from opening ABM files. There can be external issues inside of %%os%% that are causing these errors when opening ABMs. Other contributing causes:
- Windows Registry ABM file paths that are incorrect
- The ABM file description within the Windows Registry was removed
- Partial installation of Redbana Audition that did not fully complete
- File corruption affecting your ABM file
- Your ABM has adversely impacted by malware
- Device drivers of the hardware associated with your ABM file are corrupt or out-of-date
- Your computer does not have the adequate system resources to open the Music Album format
